CoolSculpting is a simple and effective in-office procedure that reduces unwanted body fat with no sedation or downtime. CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis technology to freeze fat cells, destroys them permanently. Depending upon the areas being treated, your session may take from 35 minutes to several hours. Results from each session develop over about 3 months, and we often recommend two to four sessions over the first year for optimal body contouring. Although there is no downtime, many patients experience temporary side effects in the treated areas, such as bruising, tenderness, skin sensitivity, numbness, swelling and cramping. While symptoms generally last from ten days to three weeks, CoolSculpting does not limit your physical activity and we encourage you to resume your usual activity level as soon as possible following treatment. CoolSculpting is limited by the size of the applicator, and works well for the initial treatment of pinch-able fat in the abdomen, flanks, thighs and arms.
